Layers and jeans issues...

Jumper - H&M mens
Shirt - Marc Jacobs via charity shop
Jeans - M&S Limited Collection (here)
Converse - gift

I'm layering again, woohoo!  Admittedly it was a tiny bit warm for two tops yesterday... but I really liked getting the knitwear back out - I may be a summer baby but the cold weather is definitely for me!

I found these jeans in the M&S sale last week in a longer length and had to grab them.  They're made of a stretchy type denim which seems to be the way to go - is it just me or are skinny jeans getting tighter?  Seriously, I tried on numerous pairs in other shops and none would go past my knees after a certain point.  And I don't know how to lose knee weight!  Of course because this pair fit my legs, they're far too big on my waist...not sure how to fix that either, grr!  Looking out for a darker pair now, think it may be back to M&S, it's just a shame they no longer have a tall range or I'd never be out the place (as opposed to the 3 days a week I frequent it these days... ;))

Anyone agree with my clothing issues?  Where do you guys go for foolproof jeans?

:)

  1. Dotty P for me for jeans! There is nothing worse than jeans shopping so I've found a shop that suits me and I'm sticking with it.

  2. I can't help you with jeans, at all. But I have similar problems at the moment with pencil skirts, if they fit my hips / bum, they are miles too big for my waist. :(

  3. M&S jeans are great aren't they - I just to get a few from there. Also New Look tends to be pretty good for them too.

  4. Like Dinoprincesschar, jeans and pencil skirts either fit my hips or my waist, never both. I used to get jeans from New Look but that was years ago (when hipster jeans were widely available - avoiding the waist issues altogether) but now I'm down to just one pair and I'm trying to psyche myself up for the horror which is jeans shopping. :(

I'm looking forward to layering my tops up again, too, though!

  5. That's so funny about the jeans. I think they ARE getting tighter. I don't have big calves (thighs, yes, but not calves) and I had the same issue while shopping this weekend. Out of 5 pairs, I could only get two past the knee. I'm so glad it's not just me!

  6. there are some seriously odd shaped jeans out there. thankfully there is usually something for everyone. I find River Island are the best fit for me x

  7. It's funny that you say about the knees, I never believed that I had particularly fat knees but the silly things always cling tight to my knees and then are enormous on the hips.

    Who has legs that shape?
