Challenge 16

Challenge 16 - Watch a classic film/read a classic book you've never got around to before.
When it comes to films, you know I wasn't just going to watch ONE classic movie, right?  I have a few more in the line up for future watching but I'll restrain myself for now...
Picnic at Hanging Rock was more wonderful than I expected - it was dreamy and nostalgic and mysterious, and one of those few movies that I felt lived up to the hype.
The Philadelphia Story had James Stewart.  I have a huge (inappropriate?) crush on James Stewart.  So I tolerated Katharine Hepburn and her stupid voice to watch this.  Totally worth it.
Casino Royale was actually read a few months ago but I wanted to wait until I'd watched a classic movie to post the challenge!  It was pretty good, but had a definite lack of jumping off cranes and other such big screen antics.  THAT torture scene from the movie is very much a part of the book though...

(Check out the rest of the list here!)

  1. You don't like Katharine Hepburn? Whaaaaat??!! She's amazing.

Picnic at Hanging Rock *really* creeped me out. I think I watched it when I was too young and it was far too late at night.
