Finished Knitting - blanket, booties and more pompoms

Another week, another baby blanket.  Oh, except I chose to do moss stitch on this one so it took forever.  Lesson learned.  And another something with pompoms on.  I just can't help myself.  For the blanket I used a selection of double knitting yarn in teal, purple, red, yellow and blue, and just moss stitched ten rows of each colour before changing.  I made it a bit wider than my last blanket, which meant I also had to make it longer to get the square shape.

The booties I made ages ago - I used the same pattern as before and they knit up super quick.  All double knitting yarn again, I like to make washable things for babies!  These goodies are going to a guy at work whose wife is due to give birth next month.  They decided not to find out the baby's sex in the end so I went with neutral colours.  The below picture was taken after my birthday, when I received a couple of excellent pressies - books AND knitting, oh yeah!  I've not attempted any of the patterns yet but the Mochimochi one is calling my name so...watch this space...

  5. I'm gonna be cheeky and say - you know a lot of babies :P . I don't think I know any (or any that are planned) so I have no excuse to knit lovely stuff like this. I love the effect of that moss stitch :)

    1. I know right?! At least this way I can give a pressie without having to look interested in the actual baby ;) maybe you could just make them in case you ever have a pregnant friend...
